1. Abstract
-----------

Radio Service Software for the Private DataTAC Vehicular Radio Modems.
Released version R01.04.03
Copyright (C) 2000 Motorola, Inc.
All Rights Reserved.

2. What's New
-------------
This is a maintenance release of Modem Windows RSS.

These bugs and problems are fixed in this release:

- Added possibility to change RSSI thresholds in the codeplug file, containing non-calibrated RSSI control values and to download such personality into the calibrated device. (Calibration makes sense only concerning codeplugs with MCS2000 Radio interface.)

- Added possibility for users with Depot access level to enter RSSI control values manually and save them into the VRM (with MCS2000 Radio interface only).

- The RSS is creating the RSSI.log file every time a VRM with MCS2000 Radio interface is re-calibrated. The log file will contain the time stamp, VRM ID, old RSSI values, new RSSI values.

- Format of the RF monitor log file was changed, so it would be more informative.

-------------
These bugs and problems are fixed in the 1.03 release:

- Added possibility to calibrate RSSI values for all modems working with MCS2000 radio (VRM500, VRM650).

-------------
These bugs and problems are fixed in the 1.02 release:

- Fixed bug concerning reading the old codeplugs created before 1997 year.
If user attempts to read the codeplug without a product designator, the warning, which states, that it is preferable to use the new codeplug, will be displayed, but the WinRSS will permit to upload such the codeplug, display its parameters and download it into the modem.
In this case restrictions are the following:
(a) the type of the modem will not be displayed (only RPM*** or VRM***);
(b) if the customers really continue working with old R001.00.002 version of the modem code, they will be unable to use the RF Monitor tool as it utilizes some Native commands supporting only by the later versions of the modem code.

- Fixed wrong frequency presentation when negative TX/RX offset is in use.

- Fixed bug concerning modifying GPS Parameters on VRM650 (ordered with GPS) using "SUPER USER LEVEL" password.

-------------
